Care - Spring
Every Corazón® Oleander will be supplied with a Corazón information booklet containing tips for care.
Spring: Hibernation: Your Corazón® Oleander is still inside, but temperatures are already rising in March, so you should slowly start giving the plant a little more water. Repotting: When you buy a " new" Corazón® Oleander, or if you have not repotted your "old" Oleander, you can do so in March or immediately after purchase. It is best to use a stone (ornamental) pot with a hole in the bottom. In that case the plant will not be blown over so easily and the water supply in the pot will be greatly increased. We advise you to use the following pot diameters for repotting:
For repotting you may use soil with a 20 % clay content or special tub plant soil on offer at various garden centres. Habitat: In May you can put your Corazón® Oleander in a sunny, reasonably sheltered spot on the terrace, the balcony or in the conservatory. The sunnier and more sheltered the plant is, the better it will flower, but it is advisable that you take the Corazón® Oleander inside at night if there is night frost. Watering: Now that the Corazón® Oleander is outside, the need for water will increase, especially in sunny weather. The pot ball must be kept nice and humid from now on. You may also start adding fertiliser once every fortnight. If you are using slowly released compost, you may spread out the first load in the pot or in the soil. Back to Care |
